I’m a Canadian girl who tries to be funny and is almost too easy going; not much gets under my skin or rattles me, which is a good way to be in our sometimes-stressful world. I’m a conscientious worker bee type, so my task-oriented position at Fairway feels just perfect for me.
I started my mortgage career back in 2000, just after I was married and moved to the US. I’ve continuously worked in this arena for going on 23 years. Phew! I must love it! I started in Detroit where I grew from an application taker to an LO and transferred with my company when I moved to Phoenix. In 2003 I jumped from a sinking ship to join the Credit Union World. I started out as an LO, excelled, and moved into an Underwriter position for both mortgages and consumer products, then I moved up to a Home Equity Department Supervisor, and then to a Mortgage Ops Manager for a few years. I was later recruited by our current Branch Managers, just over 10 years ago, to make a move to be a Transaction Coordinator for them. I found my perfect fit at Fairway!
I’ve been with my Husband for 15 years. We have a great ‘How’d you meet story’. We started raising toddlers together, and now we’re raising some incredible teenagers who love each other. Truth! We’re also a dog family to our Penny pup, who’s known by everyone at the Branch. She fits in too!
I LOVE to travel with the family and show them this beautiful and amazing world we live in. I also love to challenge myself with running and keeping fit, which includes long walks and hikes with my fur baby and our 2 cats. Yup, the kitties like to join on walks too.
I love my job if you can call it that. I think of my position as just a little cog in a big wheel, helping my Teammates gather all the pieces needed to close a deal. I like them and I want success for them. I want to make their jobs a little easier when I can help. I feel this comes back to me, as well. It’s a remarkable mutual relationship! Integrity defines our direct Leadership Team and the whole of Fairway. I feel secure, heard and taken care of here. I know this integrity reaches our clients, as well, and knowing that we ethically serve them brings complete gratification.
